Greetings, my name is Deborah Morris. I’m a wife of 45 years, mother of three adult children and grandmother of 10. I spent my career as a professional writer in a previous age laden with paper manuscripts, literary agents, publishers, bookstores and magazines, all of which are rapidly fading into obscurity.
I laid down my pen in 2008 due to family illness and started a new season of life with new challenges. Occasionally I would share written reflections on Facebook (some now archived here), but felt no need to go beyond that.
That changed in September 2015 when, to my surprise, I felt the Holy Spirit’s clear direction to pick up my pen again. I asked the Lord what exactly he meant by that. I explained that I was older, that the writing world had undergone a revolution since my day, that I felt ill equipped and, truth be told, more than a little resistant.
He listened patiently. Then I picked up my pen.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
